As summer nears end.

Wow... its almost over, the last summer of my high school career, this is the last summer I'm gonna be a kid. haha. Depressing, exciting, scary, amazing.........ahhhhhh. Don't get me wrong i look forward to furthering my education, going on my mission, getting married and all that, but it is nice to be a kid sometimes. haha. Well this summer has done me a lot of good! I was able to make and save much mula for the mission, which will be great! I also obtained my driver's license. I have discovered a lot about myself! And now I have the sudden desire to yell "WALK PLEASE!" To any child who starts to even jog. haha. I didn't exactly have the quest I wanted, but hey, I didn't really have time to forge a sword and find a motorcycle. Those who know understand, those who don't, are probably giving the computer screen a weird look. Alas I only wsh I could explain, haha. I did learn that according to American standards I am literate, a fact that I am extremely pleased with. (If you want to know check out Maddi's blog and it has the whole deal.) Oh and I also started writing a book, many of you may know of this ambition of mine, and finally i'm really trying to bring it to fruition. You see that picture at the top of my blog? Well it had a lot to do with the inspiration of the story, Plus I just really like that picture. hehe!
Well as long as I'm at it I'll just write about LGO (Lifeguard Olympics) and the funny thing that happened that morning but I'm waiting till I get pictures of that! Anyway LGO was great! So for the synchro routine (each pool has to do a synchro routined.) Anyway so we went and the girls decided that they weren't going to knox their hair but since I was the only guy doing the routine, yea all te otherguys were doing something else or weren't man enough to do it, anyway the girls decided I was going to knox my hair, and the result is...........

and in the famous words of my famous robot friend WALL-E: "TA-DA!"

Yea dangerous, anyway first we had the rescue tube relay, it was really fun except some teams were a little intense as in their entire team had on fast skins! Anyway here was our team :

HHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEES!!!!! MATT!

MAR!

EMILY

AAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNDDD NOLAN!!!!

It was pretty awesome......... even though we didn't win, haha!

Anyway then we started the synchro......

WE ARE JAMAICA AND WE GOTTA BOBSLED TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry the pictures are dark, but it was really fun.

Yea I got to work with some really cool people

Marilee

Kelly, Natalee

Brandon, Tori, Erin

Kelly, Marilee, Natalee

I also got to meet up with my good buddiesfrom LGT and WSI (classes we have to take to become lifeguards and swim instructors.)

This is my good buddy Shaney Lords, I knew that we would probably be friends forever after she grabbed my armpit hair, haha! That sounds really weird but there was a simple explanaiton, she's really shortI'm bending down a lot in that picture, anyway we were practicing rescues and we were working together and she couldn't quite reach around my body so thats where her hand fell! haha.

This is Lauren Pulsipher, I met her the same time I met Shaney, Lauren is an amazing synchro swimmer, she was alsoa good pal!

Anyway and so winds down the summer!

Finally....

It finally happened. Yea I didn't believe it either, took me long enough huh. Yea it wasn't easy though, it took me to the last second to finally achieve it. What am I talking about, the power to save the world? the greatest treasure known to man? No, I'm talking about my driver's license. Oh yea, I finally got it.

Oh yea wondering about that scruff on my face? Well I'm reading a book about Robin Hood, Its called "Hood" and its by a guy named Stephen R. Lawhead (I highly recommend it!) Anyway, I decided that I'm gonna be Robin Hood, or Bran as he is called right now.

Senior Pics are like Chiropractics

So I went and got my senior pics today. Man you wouldn't believe it some people bring like 15 changes of clothes and then I saw a kid who wasn't even wearing formal atire... that was kinda funny. Anyway they call me in and I go sit on the stool thinking "Great! I'll get in and out in like 10 minutes max. Right?" WRONG. First the lady sits me down and puts this velvet desk under me and tells me to put one fist under my chin. To which I thought "You gotta be kidding me! That pose never looks good on a guy, girls its fine, guys not so much." But she took them anyway. The it proceeded with the "Yearbook shot." This is where it gets like going to the chiropracter. They chiropracter goes and starts pushing places in your back and spine and first it hurts but then you feel better. Well in photo shoots they tell you, bend this way put that shoulder down and tilt your head this way... down... twist... tilt... up ...arm left.... right. Ughh I wouldn't be surpirsed if they started speaking in yoga positions. I was beginning to think, how can this even look normal or good. I feel like I'm hanging off a cliff! But surprisingly the pictures don't look to bad... which is saying something because I'm not a guy you associate with the word "photogenic." You can't tell me to say cheese and have the picture turn out that good. haha.

The lady was a fan of my smirk, when she found out how bad my full smile was.

This one is going on my secret agent photo ID!

Weddings I love weddings

So it was Jenny's big day yesterday! She was married to Brent Hill. It was so exciting!

Jen and Brent like to kiss... a lot!

a lot, a lot........... But thats a positive sign!

Jenny prepares to throw the bouquet.

Well little Shelby Taylor got it, so it looks like there is going to be a slight famine of marraiges for the time being. haha.

Explaination as to why the groom is bending over. Brent is really tall! so yea, work the rest out yourself. haha.

Brent's bro John got the garter, he was really excited about it.

I think my dad was a little sad, this was his first daughter to really go. So he hugged my sister for a long time.... haha.

It was lovely, lovely day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ruffles have Ridges

So my mom took on the daunting task of giving our poor shaggy dog Zane a haircut.

I know he's a beautiful doggy right? But yea, its hard to shave a dog who really doesn't want to hold still. So uhh.....here he is now.

Its a good thing he isn't vain, or I wouldn't be able to take him on walks anymore! As you may notice he has several ridges where the shaver comb was, so now we have opted to call him, Ruffles, because ruffles have ridges!

Summer! (a personal insight on the emotional reflections of marc)

Wow thats a long title. So I hope to make this post live up to what the title implies. Well the first has to deal with the song that you may be listening to right now, unless you figured out that you can change that. But if you are listening to what I have endearlingly placed first then you will completely understand what this about. Not that this is a depressing thing, but it in this last summer of my high school career, I gotta go my own way in somethings.

First of all my career as a lifeguard has just begun. )I hope to become buff and tan, though I'll probably just end up tan, which is ok I guess.) Different then my fellow friends in the food industry. Its not much of a social thing. I only know Marilee at my pool and they pretty much split us up. She's a morning guard and I am a night guard (not to be confused with the Knight Guard commonly found in the courts of kings and other monarchy.) Its a tough job but I'm glad I get to do it!

Second I'm going my own way in school. as it is my senior year I'm kind of specializing for the field that I'm going into later in life. This is totally different then many of my friends, but its going to be really good for me. PS I'm not going into the mercanary corp.

Third is my apparent obsession with utterly depressing music like the song that you may still be listening to (depending on the tolerance of High School Musical 2 or the speed of your reading. Though I sincerely hope that it is the former rather than the later for reasons obvious.) I don't know why I like it. Most people that I associate with like happy music, but................ yea. It doesn't reflect in any way the present emotional state in anyway. But in the famous words of Sid the Sloth "What? Its catchy!" (think it with a lateralized "s" and makes more sense.)
