Winter Formal, and other lesser frivolities.

SO as my title so accuretly denotes, Winter Formal was last weekend. It was BLAST. I went with the exceedingly, incredibly, awesomely beautiful (I'm pretty sure thats as many adverbs as I need. I'm also pretty sure those are adverbs but I have been wrong before.) Lyndsie Lynkerstorfer I'm sorry I haven't answered you yet its coming I swear.

I must say we make an attractive pair. It was a blast of the ages. I'm so glad that she asked me.

So besides Winter Formal, I have also taken the ACT's. I've never felt so brain strained in my life, but on the upside, there were lots of posters on the walls about Peyote, so now I know what that is, and what it looks like. So that was a plus. haha. Oh yea and before school got out Mrs. Stones passed out the audition packets for Seussical the musical.

I'm really excited for this, its a show that I've wanted to do all my life, so that should be good. Auditions and callbacks are the first three days of school so that should be really interesting. Anyway thats my life, and I can;'t wait for Christmas!

Wow Tons Of Fun.

So first I guess I'll start with Homecoming. Well one of my favoritest people in the worl was elected Homecoming queen. Yes It was Rebekah Ellingson. The game was pretty fun. We basically slaughtered Central and it was really fun.

And the Homecoming dance was AMAZING! I got to take the beautiful Calli Anderson. It was so much fun!

She's lots of fun, we're in choir together, and in the same ward, and hopefully we both get to be in the musical together!

K, what happened next oh! The regional swim meet! So last thursday in preparation for the swim meet we had our traditional shaving /pasta party, Where, you guessed it, eat pasta and shave ourselves. I don't know what I was thinking but I got the bright idea that I would shave my armpits. I don't think my stupidity could have reached this low. Its very uncomfortable. But I dropped tons of time the last two days so you know what ever. If I go to state I'm not reshaving them though. Just the rest. Ok I guess that those who know have been waiting for this. Robin Hood

IN TIGHTS!

and for the next installation you get to meet my chickens!

She said Yes

So the other day I decided to ask Calli Anderson to the homecoming dance. I got her a stuffed animal dog, wrote the letters of my name on dog biscuts and wrote a sign that says "I'd be happy as a puppy if you went to Homecoming with me!"

Days went by and though I knew she'd gotten the message I'd still not recieved a sure answer. I even dropped some subtle hints about it at the football game last night such as "Hey, I don't know if I'm going to homecoming because I haven't got an answer yet." And other such discreet comments. Well I must say Calli outdid herself on the answer. I'm still trying to contemplate how she accomplished this great feat.

I had trouble trying to get this picture, you might be able to read it, please notice the remarkable legibility, for if you don't know Zane I must tell you he never stops moving.

Alisa bless her heart is trying to help me as much as she can.

And finally SUCCESS!

I am truly impressed that Calli got that on Zane, and really really excited to go to the dance with her!

Man Night

So as those who have seen/heard, saturday was the night of the all powerful man night! Not so powerful because of certain interruptions of the female variety which resulted in hormonal rages which indirectly rendered Schnepfy injured. Anyway long story ask me later. Anyway the female interruption was that we decided to grace Maddi's birthday by our presence. Yet what better way could we have accomplished this then by arming ourselves with large swords, knives, machetes...etc..etc. I think we even had a bolt action rifle(fake) and a tribal staff(real). Needless to say our little parade was not allowed to pass through the entire threshold that is the Moffats house. Yet Sister Moffat could not pass up the opprotunity of taking a manly picture for us.

Mem-O-Ry

Here are the directions:1. As a comment on my blog, leave one or several memories that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.So let's have it! Don't be shy! What do you remember? Anything funny, embarrassing, ridiculous, serious, silly...

Throw yourself down, and rid us of your stupidity!

Well gandalf, I did throw myself down, but I ain't rid anybody of my stupidity. Ok, so last night me and brad went party hopping. Just kidding it was only two parties. Anyway, I was at Marilee's party, and just having a good time. See for the dance festival the lady asked if anybody could do a back flip. Now I've gotten pretty good at my dives during lifeguarding. But diving is different then gymnastics, plus you can't jump as high. Anyway I started out with spotters, then had them back off, and well, this is what resulted.

Now I have pretty bruises and knuckles that look like elephantitus?

Lockett Meadow!

So I just went up to one of the most beautiful spots in all of Arizona. Its called Lockett meadow. Its just outside of Flagstaff, and its so amazing with its pine trees and aspens. Oh so perky.

Yea so anyway, we went up there to spend time with my family. My cousins Austin, Ashley, and Chantel were there with their parents, and my Uncle Keith and his daughter Danni came up to, along with Jenny and Brent. Anyway, thats all good and nice, but what really happened that was exciting was that we met a witch up there. She was really nasty. Anyway, one thing led to another and well, she turned me into a newt, or more specifically a mud puppy.

Well life was hard, we couldn't really figure out what to do since the witch fled when my dad waved a stick of fire at her, as we all know witches are most flammable. Anyway, I got a little claustrophobic in the cup, so I had my brother put me in the pond where there were many mud puppy friends for me to play with. Anyway, as long as we were still figuring out how to change me back I might as well take full advantage of being able to swin under water without coming up for air, us swimmers long for these chances! Anyway it was pretty fun. I've never really been in a pond like that before without worrying about getting totally dirty. But after a while we realized that witch wasn't finished. She talked to a snake, and convinced him to come and hunt me. So as I was minding my own business out of nowhere this water snake witch looks like its an anaconda when its that size comes out of nowhere and... and...... well I guess I better just show you

Well the end was to graphic that they stopped filming it. What happened is that mud puppies are actually baby dragons. So as soon as I discovered this I began to breathe hot air into the snake, and he grew and grew until he popped. haha.

Actually, there was no witch but it makes a great story. But there were lots of mud puppies. Through patience and quick hands seth caught the one in the cup. He caught it in his hand and we put it in my bandana. It was really cool. The video is not of our little friend. He is one of his cousins. Our friend, so far as we know, still lives. He was christened Nester!

As summer nears end.

Wow... its almost over, the last summer of my high school career, this is the last summer I'm gonna be a kid. haha. Depressing, exciting, scary, amazing.........ahhhhhh. Don't get me wrong i look forward to furthering my education, going on my mission, getting married and all that, but it is nice to be a kid sometimes. haha. Well this summer has done me a lot of good! I was able to make and save much mula for the mission, which will be great! I also obtained my driver's license. I have discovered a lot about myself! And now I have the sudden desire to yell "WALK PLEASE!" To any child who starts to even jog. haha. I didn't exactly have the quest I wanted, but hey, I didn't really have time to forge a sword and find a motorcycle. Those who know understand, those who don't, are probably giving the computer screen a weird look. Alas I only wsh I could explain, haha. I did learn that according to American standards I am literate, a fact that I am extremely pleased with. (If you want to know check out Maddi's blog and it has the whole deal.) Oh and I also started writing a book, many of you may know of this ambition of mine, and finally i'm really trying to bring it to fruition. You see that picture at the top of my blog? Well it had a lot to do with the inspiration of the story, Plus I just really like that picture. hehe!
Well as long as I'm at it I'll just write about LGO (Lifeguard Olympics) and the funny thing that happened that morning but I'm waiting till I get pictures of that! Anyway LGO was great! So for the synchro routine (each pool has to do a synchro routined.) Anyway so we went and the girls decided that they weren't going to knox their hair but since I was the only guy doing the routine, yea all te otherguys were doing something else or weren't man enough to do it, anyway the girls decided I was going to knox my hair, and the result is...........

and in the famous words of my famous robot friend WALL-E: "TA-DA!"

Yea dangerous, anyway first we had the rescue tube relay, it was really fun except some teams were a little intense as in their entire team had on fast skins! Anyway here was our team :

HHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEES!!!!! MATT!

MAR!

EMILY

AAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNDDD NOLAN!!!!

It was pretty awesome......... even though we didn't win, haha!

Anyway then we started the synchro......

WE ARE JAMAICA AND WE GOTTA BOBSLED TEAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry the pictures are dark, but it was really fun.

Yea I got to work with some really cool people

Marilee

Kelly, Natalee

Brandon, Tori, Erin

Kelly, Marilee, Natalee

I also got to meet up with my good buddiesfrom LGT and WSI (classes we have to take to become lifeguards and swim instructors.)

This is my good buddy Shaney Lords, I knew that we would probably be friends forever after she grabbed my armpit hair, haha! That sounds really weird but there was a simple explanaiton, she's really shortI'm bending down a lot in that picture, anyway we were practicing rescues and we were working together and she couldn't quite reach around my body so thats where her hand fell! haha.

This is Lauren Pulsipher, I met her the same time I met Shaney, Lauren is an amazing synchro swimmer, she was alsoa good pal!

Anyway and so winds down the summer!

Finally....

It finally happened. Yea I didn't believe it either, took me long enough huh. Yea it wasn't easy though, it took me to the last second to finally achieve it. What am I talking about, the power to save the world? the greatest treasure known to man? No, I'm talking about my driver's license. Oh yea, I finally got it.

Oh yea wondering about that scruff on my face? Well I'm reading a book about Robin Hood, Its called "Hood" and its by a guy named Stephen R. Lawhead (I highly recommend it!) Anyway, I decided that I'm gonna be Robin Hood, or Bran as he is called right now.

Senior Pics are like Chiropractics

So I went and got my senior pics today. Man you wouldn't believe it some people bring like 15 changes of clothes and then I saw a kid who wasn't even wearing formal atire... that was kinda funny. Anyway they call me in and I go sit on the stool thinking "Great! I'll get in and out in like 10 minutes max. Right?" WRONG. First the lady sits me down and puts this velvet desk under me and tells me to put one fist under my chin. To which I thought "You gotta be kidding me! That pose never looks good on a guy, girls its fine, guys not so much." But she took them anyway. The it proceeded with the "Yearbook shot." This is where it gets like going to the chiropracter. They chiropracter goes and starts pushing places in your back and spine and first it hurts but then you feel better. Well in photo shoots they tell you, bend this way put that shoulder down and tilt your head this way... down... twist... tilt... up ...arm left.... right. Ughh I wouldn't be surpirsed if they started speaking in yoga positions. I was beginning to think, how can this even look normal or good. I feel like I'm hanging off a cliff! But surprisingly the pictures don't look to bad... which is saying something because I'm not a guy you associate with the word "photogenic." You can't tell me to say cheese and have the picture turn out that good. haha.

The lady was a fan of my smirk, when she found out how bad my full smile was.

This one is going on my secret agent photo ID!

Weddings I love weddings

So it was Jenny's big day yesterday! She was married to Brent Hill. It was so exciting!

Jen and Brent like to kiss... a lot!

a lot, a lot........... But thats a positive sign!

Jenny prepares to throw the bouquet.

Well little Shelby Taylor got it, so it looks like there is going to be a slight famine of marraiges for the time being. haha.

Explaination as to why the groom is bending over. Brent is really tall! so yea, work the rest out yourself. haha.

Brent's bro John got the garter, he was really excited about it.

I think my dad was a little sad, this was his first daughter to really go. So he hugged my sister for a long time.... haha.

It was lovely, lovely day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ruffles have Ridges

So my mom took on the daunting task of giving our poor shaggy dog Zane a haircut.

I know he's a beautiful doggy right? But yea, its hard to shave a dog who really doesn't want to hold still. So uhh.....here he is now.

Its a good thing he isn't vain, or I wouldn't be able to take him on walks anymore! As you may notice he has several ridges where the shaver comb was, so now we have opted to call him, Ruffles, because ruffles have ridges!
